Delores Walter

Delores Pauline Walter, of Bethel Acres, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 30, 2026 at her home with family around her at the age of 83.

Delores was born on February 23, 1942 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of L.C. and Inez Rackley. She grew up in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School. After High School she married Charles Boland. To this union, two sons, Kendall and Jeff Boland were born. Delores was a member of ONE Church in Tecumseh. On June 23, 2001, Delores and James Walter were married and they made their home in Bethel Acres.

Delores was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was a giving Christian woman. She worked at Wolverine Tube for many years before her retirement. She was a member of SAM's Club (Senior Adult Ministry) and was a shining example of the virtuous woman. She loved to take her grandchildren to Branson. And she kept her yard in immaculate condition and rode her lawnmower regularly. She spent time with her sister in a catering business. She loved her family and they loved her back without exception.

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.C. and Inez Rackley; and by a sister, Ann Boland.

She is survived by her husband, James Walter of the home; a son, Kendall Boland and wife Cathy and Jeff Boland; a granddaughter Carolyn Boland; a grandson Kevin Boland and wife Stormi; a great granddaughter Hope; two great grandsons Isaac and Eric; a grandson Taylor Washburn; a sister, Ruby Ellis of Little, OK; a nephew Roger Parrish; a niece Julie Patton and husband Noal; Jack Boland and wife Ramona Boland; a great niece, Logann and husband Raceton White; two great grand nieces, Parker and Andi White; a great niece, Ashlynn Cash and husband Gunner Cash; a nephew, Darrin and wife Stacy Boland; seven great grand nephews, Collin and Jagger Boland, Sean, Cody and Garrett Parrish, Cody and Tanner Patton along with numerous cousins and a blended family Dewayne and Mary Walter and family and Tabitha Walter and family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 10am to 5pm and on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 10am to 8:00pm. Visitations will be at McElyea & Owens Funeral Group, 5106 N Harrison in Shawnee.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at ONE Church, 2110 W Washington, in Tecumseh, OK with Bro. Ronnie Churchwell officiating, assisted by Fred Owens, and Doug Parker. Burial will follow immediately at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group.

Pallbearers will be Raceton White, Kevin Boland, Jack Boland, Darrin Boland, Julie Patton, and Carolyn Boland. Honorary bearers are Kendall Boland, Jeff Boland, and Roger Parrish.
