Duane Charles Powders, a resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed from this life on January 24, 2026 at his home in Choctaw at the age of 65. Duane was born in Oklahoma City on 12/24/1960 to Sandra Powders Shreeves, and Alva "Bud" Powders.
Duane was a quality engineer. He worked the final 12 years of his life for Global Production Solutions in Shawnee. He graduated from Southwestern OK State University and was a scholarship recipient on the Rodeo team where he competed as a steer wrestler.
Duane had one sister, Jody; a niece, Erin; and a nephew Brandon.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister.
No public services are planned. Private family services will be scheduled at a later date.
