Floy Longenbaugh Obituary
Floy "Janette" Longenbaugh of Newalla, Oklahoma passed away February 25, 2026 at the age of 86. Jan was born on October 27, 1939 in Wichita Falls, Texas to James Thomas Foster and Mary Paulline (Still) Green.
Jan grew up in her early years and attended school in Wichita Falls, TX. After high school, she met and married Bobby Joe Longenbaugh. They traveled the United States with their five boys while Joe served in the military. After parting ways many years later, Jan met Alvin Thomas a bit later and together they built a life for the next 30 years.
Jan enjoyed many things in life. Among her favorites was traveling the U.S. enjoying many trips to places like Hawaii, Alaska, Las Vegas, and Branson. Jan loved the water, whether it was the lake or the ocean. She loved to fish, crochet, and needlepoint. She was always up for a trip to the casino too. Most of all, Jan loved spending time with her family. She was often known to express her opinion completely unfiltered. She will be dearly missed by so many friends and family. Jan was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, and sister.
Jan is preceded in death by her father, J.T. Foster; her mother, Mary Pauline Green; ex-husband, BJ Longenbaugh; her love, Alvin Thomas, and her son, Jimmy Longenbaugh.
She is survived by four sons, Curtis Longenbaugh and wife Karen of Spencer, OK, Bobby Joe Longenbaugh II of Oklahoma City, Micah Longenbaugh of Oklahoma City, and Jason Longenbaugh and wife Kim of Newalla; a brother, Jimmy Foster and wife Jackie of Wichita Falls, TX; a sister, Beverly Bouldin of Houston, TX; Grandchildren, Brady, Cody, Anthony, Meagan, Logan and Charlie; great grandchildren; Gage, Piper , Rowan, Fiona, Elias, Vera, Phineas, Grant, Ava, Jack, Bram, Maddie, London and Emma; and a host of extended family and many friends.
A memorial service for Jan will be held, Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11:00am at the Newalla Church of Christ. A graveside committal service will be held on March 7, 2026 at Hope Cemetery in Wichita Falls, TX. A very special thanks to Luminos Hospice and the staff at Wolfe Living Center for their loving care.
Services are under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee.
